Frequently asked questions

  1. Who is Doctor Dost?
Doctor Dost is a medical home care company which provides medical services. A Doctor will visit you with pre-booked appointments at your convenience. We provide services for seniors in societies, assisted living communities or wherever they need our services.
  2. Why should I opt for Home Health Care?
Families are scattered across the country, or even the world these days. Leaving an older
family member alone at home can be terrifying if you’re not close by. Doctor Dost Home Care reassures you that your loved ones are safe and enjoying life, and our proactive services help your older ones in case of any emergency. We will help them navigate their daily lives so you can manage yours. Our reasonable rates are more affordable than visiting nurses or care facilities, and much healthier for your family.
  3. How can I talk with my person’s doctor?
Many older adults find it helpful to bring family members or friends to the doctor’s office. Just remember to get a prior appointment with your relative to speak with his or her doctor. Before the appointment, you can help your relative prepare for the visit, write down
concerns, and go over what to say to the doctor. During the visit, you can take notes. After the appointment, review what the doctor said to help your loved one remember.
  4. Is there a long-term contract?
Yes, we do have year-long contracts when providing home care. We realize that there are all kinds of needs, from respite care to post-operative care and for any time frame, from hours to weeks or longer. A family may need a few hours of respite care, or someone may need assistance after surgery. They might need to be in a geriatric facility for a year or might need a live-in nurse for months on end. Contact Doctor Dost to see all the options we have for
    home care.
  5. Is there any additional charge?
Yes. Lab investigations, physiotherapy, counsellors, and dieticians are services for which we have tied up with our partners providing such services. Any such kind of service will be paid as per the charges levied. We will be providing discounts for these as well.
  6. My loved one only needs medical help now and then. Can we get occasional medical help?
The great thing about home care is that we can personalize it to suit your needs. If you need a doctor’s visit once or twice a month we can help. Doctor Dost Home Care is here to fill in  the gaps preventing senior relatives from leading independent lives. We can provide specialised post-operative care at our inpatient centre, thereby providing relief to both patients and families.
  7. What if I need to change the schedule or care plan?
Then changes can be made. We are here to support you and your loved one. When circumstances change, we can change the plan and care visits to accommodate those needs.

  8. What happens if there is a change in his/her medical condition.? Can you still help?
We can re-evaluate and adjust your loved one’s care plan anytime. We understand that health conditions can and do change. If your loved one experiences a decline in cognitive abilities or serious illness, our geriatric physician will evaluate his/her current condition. If
we feel they cannot be managed at home, we can explore shifting them to our geriatric and palliative care set-up. At Doctor Dost, safety and well-being are always our top priority.
